I like that they have been doing done-in-one stories but some tails need extra time to be good. I like the concept, but not the execution. This could have fleshed out both Giles and Faith. Giles and Faith save a lost Slayer with family issues. Giles reunites with an old friend, a Watcher. Faith flashes back to her first slaying. Nothing gets elaborated on. It seems to rush you through it just so they can get the story done in one issue.

What makes a good story is not the ending but how the characters get to it. This would have been better as two issues.

I like done-in-ones, but not if they make them like this. Taking a good story and removing all characterization to make it fit in one issue is not worth it.
