Atomic Robo HeavyInk Exclusive

by Pete at 05:51 PM August 11, 2008 in atomic robo, exclusive

A new volume of Atomic Robo is about to begin… and it’s looking pretty sweet! I know exactly how sweet, because I’ve got a copy right here in my hands… we just got our shipment of the HeavyInk exclusive variant cover of Atomic Robo Dogs of War Part 1! Want one?

Cool! Because everyone who gets a copy of the regular issue through HeavyInk will get a copy of the variant cover for free. Get yours!

Will it come with a subscription? Or do I have to change the options of “Send alternet covers” to yes?

by Pete at 05:36 PM August 12, 2008

Yup, we’ll just send it to everyone who gets the regular copy, whether it’s a subscription or an individual order.

Well this is a very welcome surprise! But I guess now I’ll have to order another copy of the rest of the series just so I can give the whole set away!

Awesome, I just ordered a copy, but I didn’t see the variant listed in my invoice. Will I still get it?Thanks!

by Pete at 09:35 AM August 17, 2008

Yup, we’re not putting the variant covers on invoices or in order histories, we’re just dropping them in the outgoing mailers.

Robo rules! It is consistently entertaining, high-quality, and most importantly fun! Not to mention accessible to a wide fan base (men, women, most kids above age 8.)

You learn a little bit about history, have your ears and eyes tickled by the talented team who pour thier hearts into every issue and obviously love what they do. This can’t be said for many comics and their creators. We’ve all seen the derivative crap that passes for comics on the shelves at our local comic shop. How refreshing that one comes along that takes us back to the pure joy of adventures reminiscent of Indiana Jones and other blockbusters with a soul from our youth.

I hope this book has a long, healthy and consistently awesome run. I have faith in the creators of this superior series and will be one of the first in line for Atomic Robo: The Movie. I want Robo action figures, lunch boxes, bed sheets and Underoos! Hell yeah I’d wear ‘em at age 38 and proudly too! No snickering allowed. Bring ‘em on and long live Atomic Robo! P.S. Robo #1 Vol. 2 kicks all kinds of ass and is even better than what preceded it (hard to believe it but it’s true.) Order a copy for yourself, girlfriend, dog and mother-in-law.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen of HeavyInk. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

I have no idea how your “company” makes any money. Discounted comics, exclusive covers, and instantaneous shipping? You guys are just using stolen future technology to deliver highly entertaining products to soften us up for your eventual invasion aren’t you? (It’s working.)

I had a whole lot of fun reading your article, just like I had had going shopping for party dresses for women
