I have a love-hate thing going with Alan Moore. I loved V for Vendetta, The first two LXG, but the 3rd LXG just didn’t do it for me. Maybe I just need to read it again…
And Lost Girls…I’m not even going there. There’s nothing wrong with it (I completely support his free speech), but it just isn’t my type of reading material.
I thought the first acts in V for Vendetta was great though I had a hard time finishing it. On the otherhand my favorite work of his has been the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen books.
I loved all three books, but I particularly loved the written stories in each book making the 3rd book my all time favorite, though the end was quite bizarre. My favorite story hands down was The Shadowed Veil and the one where Mina goes to Recruit Captain Nemo, totally awesome stories!
I actually took a class on these books for an elective last semester.
